Family Court Self Help Office
The Self Help Office is a free service offered by Outagamie County to assist couples that do not have an attorney complete their divorce paperwork. The Self Help Office is not a legal clinic and cannot give you legal advice.
The Self Help Center provides assistance Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM Thursday afternoons - by appointment only (*Closed on all legal holidays). All divorce paperwork, after the initial filing, must be turned into the Family Court Commissioner’s Office on the 2nd floor of the Government Center. (directions below). Drop off/pick up of divorce paperwork can be done: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Closed between 12:30 to 1:00 pm)
Filing Fees
- $184.50 w/o child support or maintenance
- $194.50 w/child support or maintenance
- Cash, check or money order. No credit/debit cards
Fee waivers are available.
Free Family Law Legal Advice
The legal clinic is staffed by family law attorneys who are volunteering their time for those in need. Please inquire at Family Court Commissioner’s office or call 920-832-5057 to confirm dates and time. (Usually the first and third Monday’s of the month at 4:15 pm.)
