Soil Health Education & Demo (SHED) Facility

Outagamie County LCD, in partnership with the Oneida Nation, identified 30 acres of tribal lands located on Jordan Court in the Town of Oneida for a Soil Health Education and Demonstration (SHED) facility. The SHED will become a key part of advancing conservation education/outreach for hosting field days, workshops, and small group interactions allowing community members and producers to share their experiences and learn about soil health practices.

Details

  • Be Timely – seasons are short, use immediately so equipment can get to the next farm on time.
  • Ask questions – Agronomists on staff to help with setup and operation.
  • A tractor is available for rental to operate equipment (excluding manure injectors).
  • Pick-up/Drop off: W162 Jordan Ct, DePere, unless prior arrangements are made. Delivery is available for an additional fee.
  • Maintenance – Every effort is made to keep equipment in good working order. If maintenance is required, inform the agronomist so repairs can be made. Do not make major repairs without contacting an Outagamie County LCD representative.
  • Operator will be charged additionally if repairs are needed due to negligence or improper operation.
  • A signed rental agreement is required before use.
