County Clerk

The County Clerk is a state constitutional officer who is elected by the public (authorized buy Wisconsin Statute §59.23). The Clerk has both statutory and non-statutory responsibilities, including, but not limited to:  Elections Administration, Marriage Licensing, County Board of Supervisors (serves as Secretary), County Records Retention (permanent record keeper), multiple dog licensing (contact your municipal clerk for licensing of individual dogs), and maintains the County Public Officials Directory.

Notary Public service is available to the public in the Outagamie County Clerk’s Office during regular office hours (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday).

Documents requiring a notary’s signature must be complete, except for signing, and can only be signed in the presence of the notary.  Proof of identity in the form of a photo ID must be made available to the notary. This service is provided free of charge.
