Find Out if You Are Eligible

To be eligible for WIC benefits in Wisconsin, you must:

Live in Wisconsin; and
Are pregnant, had a baby in the past six months, or are breastfeeding under 1 year old, or have an infant or children under 5 years of age; and
You or your child has a health or nutrition need (note: screening is done at your certification appointment), and
You meet the following income guidelines or are enrolled in BadgerCare, Foodshare, or receiving W-2.

Many working families, students, and military families qualify.
A pregnant woman counts as two family members.
The WIC Program uses the same income guidelines as free and reduced price school lunches.
Fathers, guardians, and foster parents may apply for WIC for their children.
