  • When thunder roars, go indoors! Take shelter in a sturdy building or a car with a roof
  • Actively monitor the weather by watching the news, monitoring social media, or listening to a weather radio 

After

  • Do not walk under damaged powerlines and trees. Instead, report these hazards
  • Wear proper clothing when handling debris (closed toe shoes, gloves, pants, and long sleeves)

  • Actively monitor the weather by watching the news or listening to a weather radio
  • Wait until the storm has cleared to leave your safe area
