Some requests are recurring – every Tuesday, for example. You can choose to pick up one of the dates, several, or all.

Volunteer Stories

I have to say. BIG HUGE THANKS to those guys for being consistent with M on Tuesday and Thursday’s. This is helping the family so much. Dad is feeling extremely supported and for the first time in about a year feels like M is making progress and feels the major “fires” have been put out. I truly feel that without these gentlemen helping with transportation, M wouldn’t be making so much progress. Thank them for me and from M’s dad.  - Worker

More Stories About Our Drivers

I have found our volunteer drivers to be extremely helpful to meet the service needs for our kids

I have found our volunteer drivers to be extremely helpful to meet the service needs for our kids. I had a youth who was placed at Rawhide but needed to participate in a group here in Appleton. One of our volunteer drivers transported him to and from Rawhide weekly for 10 weeks. This youth was able to learn new skills, build rapport with workers, and spend time with community members all because this volunteer was willing to use his time to help our youth.

I am also very thankful for the Volunteer Driver Program

I am also very thankful for the Volunteer Driver Program.  Without their assistance, I would not be able to manage my workload as effectively.  For example, I recently worked with a mother who was homeless and needed transportation from Green Bay to Appleton to sign her up at the homeless shelter.  Coordinating with volunteer driver saved me four hours, allowing me to focus on other families in need.

The driver has been consistent in his life for several months which has been very impactful

Volunteer driver program has helped with so many of the youth I work with get to the programs and services they need to be successful. One in particular, a male foster youth who will be aging out has had a driver transport him to numerous Adulting 101 classes in the past year as he learns the valuable skills he will need when he turns 18 and is on his own. The driver has been consistent in his life for several months which has been very impactful.

Everyone was professional, calm, kind, & so helpful

A warm 'thank you' to Lois, Dave, & Art for driving the children this week. Everyone was professional, calm, kind, & so helpful. We couldn't have done this without them.
