Celebrating Pride Month: Honoring Inclusion, Diversity, and Belonging
As Pride Month begins, Outagamie County joins communities across the country in celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, recognizing the importance of diversity, and reaffirming our commitment to fostering a culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported.
At Outagamie County, we believe that inclusion strengthens our workplace, drives innovation, and helps build stronger communities. That commitment is reflected in our proud status as a Gold Member of the LGBT Chamber of Commerce. Through this partnership, we support a pro-fairness business community and contribute to creating a more welcoming and inclusive Wisconsin for all.
Pride Month serves as an opportunity to celebrate the achievements, contributions, and resilience of LGBTQ+ individuals while also recognizing the ongoing importance of equity, visibility, and belonging. We proudly stand alongside our LGBTQ+ colleagues, friends, family members, and allies—not only during June, but throughout the entire year.
Our commitment to inclusion extends beyond words. We invest in learning and development opportunities that encourage understanding and growth, host employee book clubs that promote meaningful conversations, and highlight diversity, equity, and inclusion during our annual Values Week celebration. These initiatives help create an environment where employees can bring their authentic selves to work and feel empowered to thrive.
As we celebrate Pride Month, we remain dedicated to building a workplace and community where everyone is welcomed, respected, and given the opportunity to succeed. Together, we can continue creating spaces where diversity is celebrated, inclusion is embraced, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Happy Pride Month!
