OUTAGAMIE COUNTY ANNOUNCES OFFICE CLOSURES

Preparations are being made ahead of approaching winter storm

Outagamie County is notifying the public and local media that, in preparation for the upcoming winter storm, some county offices have confirmed closures. Additional closures may be added as conditions change.

County employees and residents are asked to visit the County website at www.outagamie.org for the most current updates as conditions and operations can change quickly.

Current office closures for Sunday, March 15, 2026:

  • Mosquito Hill Nature Center

The following in-person services will be unavailable on Monday, March 16, 2026:

  • County Clerk’s Office
  • County Treasurer’s Office
  • Criminal Justice Treatment Services
  • Development and Land Services
  • District Attorney's Office
  • Land Conservation
  • Health and Human Services Divisions with the exception of Shelter Care.
  • Register of Deeds
  • UW-Extension Office
  • Veterans Service Office

All Outagamie County Circuit Court and Court Commissioner cases scheduled for Monday, March 16, are canceled and will be rescheduled; affected parties will be notified with updated dates and times.

The public can still contact appropriate departments via phone or email.

Public Safety Reminder

If we receive the forecasted amount of snow, there are limitations to the assistance emergency services can provide. In the event a tow ban is put into place, vehicles that become stuck or disabled will need to remain where they are until conditions improve and it is safe for tow operators to respond.

Our Outagamie County Highway Department crews will be working tirelessly to keep roads passable and they are not able to assist with moving or removing vehicles during the storm.  As such, the Highway Department will be closed to the public on Monday, March 16, because all available resources will be directed towards clearing the roads during this time.

Please:

  • Avoid unnecessary travel
  • Prepare for hazardous road conditions
  • Plan for the possibility of power outages

Also, a quick reminder to shovel smart. Spring snow is heavy and overexertion while shoveling can lead to medical emergencies. When conditions are hazardous, response times may be longer than usual, so take your time and take breaks.

A little planning now can go a long way in keeping everyone safe — including the people out plowing roads and responding to emergencies.
