UPDATE FROM MARCH 15, 2026 @ 3:00PM

OUTAGAMIE COUNTY CLOSES ALL NON-ESSENTIAL OPERATIONS

Outagamie County is notifying residents, county employees, and local media that all county government locations and operations will be closed Monday, March 16, 2026, except for essential services. This decision is being made in response to the expectation of continued hazardous travel and weather conditions.

What this means for services

  • All non-essential county departments and services will be closed operations on Monday, March 16, 2026.
  • Essential services will continue operating to protect life, safety, and critical county functions.

Employee guidance

All county employees who have not been identified as essential are directed to remain home and focus on their families during this time. Supervisors will communicate directly with staff who are required to report or remain on duty for essential services.

Public Safety Reminder

A Tow Ban is in effect until further notice.

Our Outagamie County Highway Department crews will be working tirelessly to keep roads passable and they are not able to assist with moving or removing vehicles during the storm.

Please:

  • Avoid unnecessary travel
  • Prepare for hazardous road conditions
  • Plan for the possibility of power outages

Also, a quick reminder to shovel smart. Spring snow is heavy and overexertion while shoveling can lead to medical emergencies. When conditions are hazardous, response times may be longer than usual, so take your time and take breaks.

A little planning now can go a long way in keeping everyone safe — including the people out plowing roads and responding to emergencies.
