Property Tax Payments
Please read your 2025 current year tax bills carefully.
Your tax bill will provide you with information regarding where and when to pay your property tax. Please refer to it and read it carefully before sending in your payment. Outagamie County is not responsible for payments mailed incorrectly.
Your 1st installment or full payment for 2025 taxes is due to your local Municipal Treasurer by January 31, 2026.
Outagamie County is able to receipt your 2nd installment or delinquent tax payments.

If you have an escrow account set up with your mortgage holder your property tax bill will still be mailed to YOUR mailing address. It is your responsibility to coordinate with them how and when your tax payment(s) will be made.
The tax collection conducted by the County Treasurer's Office is bound by Chapter 74 of the Wisconsin State Statutes and is required to follow the laws described therein.

Fees for Online Payments
- The fee for an E-Check is $1.50.
- The fee for a debit card is $3.50.
- The fee for a credit card is 2.5% of the amount you are paying.
Phone
You can call 920-832-5065 to verify pay off amounts and we can process a payment over the phone.
Mail
You can mail your delinquent tax payments or current year, 2nd installment payments to:
Outagamie County Treasurer, 320 S. Walnut Street, Appleton WI 54911.
We receipt payments by the post mark date on your mailing envelope. If you'd like a receipt, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope with your payment.
Deposit Box
You can deposit your 2nd installment or delinquent payment into the secure deposit box that is located at the public entrance (Door #1) at 320 S. Walnut Street, Appleton, WI 54911.
In Person
You can pay your current year 2nd installment taxes or delinquent taxes in person in our Treasurer's Office (must enter the public entrance at Door #1) and proceed through security first.
Grace Period
Under State law, property tax payments are not delinquent if received within five working days of the January 31 or July 31 deadline (secs. 74.11(7) and 74.12(7), Wis. Stats.
- Original Due: January 31
- Date Grace Period: February 6

- Walk in payments accepted through 2/6
- Mailed payments (regardless of postmark) accepted if received by February 6
Payment Schedule
Delinquency and Interest
If your initial payment is received after January 31st or second installment after July 31st your taxes are considered delinquent and the full amount becomes due and payable, regardless of whether you are paying in full or in installments.
Per WI Stat § 74.47 (1) interest of 1% will be charged on any unpaid balance beginning on February 1st, accruing monthly until paid in full.
Outagamie County provides the opportunity to have a monthly payment automatically deducted from your checking or savings account for your delinquent real estate taxes in coordination with a notarized payment agreement. The payment would be deducted on the 10th or 25th of each month. If the 10th or 25th falls on a weekend or holiday, the payment will come out of your account the preceding Friday. If you have any changes to the deduction, you must contact our office by the 5th or 20th of each month at (920) 832-5065.
