County CB Extension - STH 15 to CTH JJ
Background Information
Outagamie County is conducting a study to evaluate potential alignments for the extension of County CB from WIS 15 to County JJ. Local roads and streets are key components of the transportation network for Outagamie County, the Village of Greenville, and the Town of Grand Chute. They provide direct access to homes and businesses, and are critical to the movement of goods and services. The planning, design,
construction and maintenance of roadways within the community is a critical component of safe and efficient travel, smart growth panning, and economic development.
Primary objectives include:
- Developing alternatives and identify the recommended alternative for extending County CB from WIS 15 to County JJ that meet the future transportation needs of the corridor as a vital transportation link for Outagamie County.
- Work with local officials to ensure that the recommended alternative is consistent with the Town of Greenville and Town of Grand Chute’s comprehensive plans.
- Responsibly plan for the future transportation needs of the area.
- Once the preferred alternative is determined, map and preserve the right of way corridor for future roadway construction.
What are the next steps?
- The study team will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in May 2021 to gather input from local residents, businesses, and the traveling public regarding the proposed alignment alternatives.
- Once a preferred alternative is identified, Outagamie County will officially map the corridor so the ultimate corridor can be preserved.
