Project Description

This project includes the design, right-of-way acquisition, and future reconstruction of this rural highway segment.  The existing highway is posted to Class B standards and lacks current County design standards.  The ditch slopes are substandard and culvert pipes and roadway appurtenances are in need of rehabilitation or improvement.  The pavement was last improved in 2002 and is approaching the end of its useful life.  The proposed improvement will consist of reconstructing the roadway to meet current standards.  This will result in the future removal of the Class B posting and need for seasonal weight restrictions.  State funding has been awarded through the Agricultural Road Improvement Program (ARIP) to support the project.

Project Status

Design engineering for this intersection is underway.  A public involvement meeting was held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.  Right-of-way acquisition is to begin in fall 2026.  Construction is currently scheduled to occur as early as 2027.
